Quizalofop-P-ethyl 50 g/L is a selective post-emergence herbicide widely used in agriculture. The product effectively controls narrow-leaf (grass) weeds in many different crops.

1. Directions for Use – Quizalofop-P-ethyl 50 g/L

Crops: Peanut, onion, beans, cassava, sesame

Target weeds: Grass weeds (narrow-leaf weeds) in broadleaf crops

Dosage: 0.8 – 1.2 L/ha

Timing: Apply when weeds are at the 2–5 leaf stage

Spraying instructions:

  • Mix 70–80 mL per 16–20 L knapsack sprayer

  • Mix 100–120 mL per 25 L sprayer

  • Best efficacy when weeds have 2–5 leaves; if weeds exceed 5 leaves, increase dosage

  • Spray volume: 400 – 500 L/ha

  • Apply 10 days after sowing

Quizalofop-P-ethyl 50 g/L is a systemic, highly selective post-emergence herbicide.

It is especially effective against annual and perennial grasses in broadleaf crops such as soybean, peanut, cassava, sesame, onion, etc.

4. Mode of Action – Quizalofop-P-ethyl 50 g/L

Quizalofop-P-ethyl rapidly converts into its active acid form, Quizalofop-P, inside plant tissues.

This active compound inhibits fatty acid synthesis by blocking the enzyme acetyl-CoA carboxylase (ACCase), which is essential for cell membrane and lipid formation in grass weeds.

  • After foliar application, the product is absorbed and translocated to meristematic tissues within 24 hours.

  • ACCase inhibition leads to growth cessation and eventual death of grass weeds within 5–7 days after spraying.
