Active ingredient: Kasugamycin 20 g/L
Formulation: SL (Soluble Liquid) – Liquid solution
Use: Controls diseases in crops
How to use Kasugamycin 20 g/L for plant disease control
Recommended dosage:
200–300 ml/ha
Or 10–20 ml per 16–25 L spray tank (depending on commercial product).
Timing of application:
Spray immediately when the disease first appears.
Use periodically for prevention if the field is at high risk or weather conditions favor bacterial growth.
Application method:
Spray evenly on stems, leaves, leaf sheaths, and petioles.
Focus on areas where new disease spots appear.
Do not spray when rain is expected.
Water volume:
400–600 L/ha
Pre-harvest interval (PHI):
7 days (depending on the finished product).
Detailed information about Kasugamycin 20 g/L
Active ingredient: Kasugamycin 20 g/L
Chemical group: Aminoglycoside antibiotic
Formulation: SL (Soluble Liquid) – easily soluble and adheres well
Spectrum: Targets bacterial diseases and some early-stage fungal diseases
Key properties:
Strongly inhibits bacterial growth
Highly effective on many difficult-to-control diseases
Low risk of resistance when used at correct dosage
Does not cause leaf burn – safe for crops
Uses of Kasugamycin 20 g/L
Effective against bacterial diseases:
Rice: Bacterial leaf blight, bacterial grain rot
Vegetables: Bacterial leaf spot, soft rot, silvering of leaves
Fruit trees: Black rot, bacterial canker, early-stage anthracnose
Industrial crops: Some bacterial wilts and anthracnose
Fast disease control – reduces spread:
Prevents bacteria from invading young tissues
Significantly reduces disease spots within 2–3 days
Effective for both prevention and treatment:
Preventive use keeps crops disease-free and leaves green longer
Curative use helps control newly emerging disease outbreaks
Safe for crops – stress-free:
Does not affect the growth of young tissues
Does not cause leaf burn like some strong-contact chemicals
Mode of action of Kasugamycin
Inhibits bacterial protein synthesis:
Binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit, blocking the initiation of translation
Bacteria cannot produce proteins → weakened and die
Specific action on Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria:
Highly effective against Xanthomonas, Pseudomonas, Erwinia – common pathogens
Safe for plants:
Plant enzymes are completely different → no harm to crops
